Melanie Dizon
Manila - Filipina
Designer & Artist
Melanie Dizon is a Filipino artist born in Manila, raised in NY, and currently resides in Peru.
She is an entrepreneur, designer, and artist. As design is her medium, she has applied her knowledge for
aesthetic forms into fashion as well as environmental projects. Having ran her namesake fashion brand for 12 years she later evolved
her experience into other creative outlets as permaculture, super adobe construction, and environmental design.
She has been a part of the design and production teams for industry venues as Cityfox, Brooklyn Mirage, Caravan Gitane and lifestyle conferences such as Summit at Sea, Summit LA, and Planet Home.
In 2016, she spent her first three years learning the jungle in the southeast peruvian amazon where she rebranded a forest conservation/retreat center, redesigned a Jungle lodge in the Tambopata Reserve,
and worked with native artisans to remember the power of art and nature. She now works as creative director and curator for Xapiri Ground; an NGO and art house in Cusco that focuses on indigenous art
of the Peruvian Amazon. Here all her skills collide between creative media production and organizational strategy. And on the side she channels her personal process through her multi-media art and installations.
